Building a DeFi-native prime brokerage from the ground up. UX for a primitive that didn't exist yet, with an obsession over speed.
Project 0 is marginfi's successor: a DeFi-native prime brokerage. I had a big part in building the app from the ground up — not reskinning something that existed, but helping invent a primitive that didn't.
Most of my time goes into UX and performance: how a prime brokerage should feel when it's fast, clear and made for people who rely on it every day. The analytics work from marginfi leveled up here — recharts-driven dashboards for positions, markets and risk. Fiat rails through Plaid and MoonPay, wallets through Reown AppKit and Solana, our own TS SDK underneath.
It runs as a Turborepo monorepo — Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind, Framer Motion, zustand and react-query — backed by a dedicated API I helped shape the data for. And yes, it has a command palette too.
